I have been a kitchen designer for over 10 years. Within that decade I have worked for many big name European kitchen manufacturers. I really started to ask myself why there were not more American made kitchen cabinets and manufacturers in the market. Was there no millwork talent in the USA?

Shopping local has always been one of the principles of my life- When your neighbor eats, we all eat. So, I decided that as an established Kitchen Designer, I was going to put together a studio that showcased American made kitchen cabinetry. it didn't take much searching to find that not only was there amazing Mom-and-Pop talent in the U.S. making kitchen cabinets, but right here in our own backyard of SoCal.
So I created American Modern to design kitchens with locally made kitchen cabinetry. I'm proud of the work we can do locally. I am proud that when I sell a kitchen, a local artist, our neighbor, is working. I'm proud to be an American Kitchen Designer.
